Augment existing sensors with hazardous area certified smart, wireless functionality
Wellsite monitoring solutions (WMS) removes the need for cabled sensors during well intervention operations, directly improving on-site safety and the efficiency of your wellsite. WMS makes existing wellsite sensors wireless and smart by utilising proven and certified sensors augmented to improve safety and create operational efficiencies in hazardous areas.
Improved wellsite safety
Originally developed in conjunction with a major oil and gas service company to remove trip hazards, decrease rig up time and reduce costs during wireline operations - WMS delivers improved wellsite safety and efficiency across a broad range of wellsite applications.
No need for IECEx recertification
Strainstall’s modular, globally hazardous area certified wireless system integrates with almost any type of third party Ex rated sensor, without the need for IECEx recertification.
Leveraging data capture and processing capabilities with IoT
As well as improving site safety and driving efficiencies, Strainstall’s wireless monitoring solution provides new opportunities to measure, control and improve wellsite processes using Internet of Things (IoT) style data capture and recording time/date stamped sensor data for subsequent analysis, as well as providing greater visibility of wellsite operations to exploration and production (E&P) operators.
Global hazardous area certification offers full confidence to operators
Globally certified hazardous area technology eliminates the need for cables. The removed cost of replacement cables quickly returns the investment for WMS systems. And with RF-safe status, WMS can be used around all commercially available electric detonators.
Keep the sensors you trust
Augment with WMS to gain wireless, digital logging, data to desk, data to cloud, plug and play benefits that continue to add value year on year. Strainstall sensors can even be retrofit during routine downtime to minimise disruption to operations.
As low as reasonably practicable (ALARP) risk mitigation
The WMS system has a tangible payback period, clearly increases safety, and was requested, co-developed and adopted by a top tier global service company. Addressing risk reduction is now a decision.
WMS uses a battery powered wireless module that logs data while simultaneously transferring data to a range of displays, from digital handheld units, to local networks and analogue gauges.
Strainstall's ATEX, IECEx and North American Hazloc approved wireless sensor systems can be used in any application with a monitoring requirement, such as; pressure, load, level, flow, torque, stroke counters and a variety of other measurements.
The dual channel wireless setup ensures connectivity at all times and eliminates any need for expensive replacement cables.
